General Sessions
Everyone at ITI get together in the auditorium to hear information about a specific topic (usually in an entertaining way) speakers in the past have included motivational speakers, theater groups, and specialists. These sessions are just informational though, they are very entertaining as well.
Workshops
There are a variety of presentations by specialists and staff members that teach leadership skills and promote a wide range of healthy lifestyles.
Teens Reaching for and Achieving Excellence
This is run much like a workshop, but instead of the workshop happening once in a weeek, the TRAX takes on one topic and spreads it over the whole week. Topics for TRAX are usually chosen for their importance to prevention in teenager's lives.
Discussion Groups
These groups are acilitated by staff and consist of 6-12 participants. The goal of these groups is to analyze
and process the information they have seen with their peers. In these groups participants have a chance to listen to other teenagers from around the state.
Community Action Teams
Formerly known as "GRUPITOS" and neighborhood groups). These groups are formed by participants from the same PSA (Prevention Service Area) in Illinois. The goal of these groups is to formulate a plan to put into effect in their communities after ITI.
Activities
What would ITI be without some fun. Activities include free-time, snacks, quiet thoughts, sunrise sharing, and a talent show. In teaching about healthy lifestyles, ITI understands that taking time to enjoy yourself and to have fun are important healthy choices
Graduation

The week ends with everyone gathering (including parents and lawmakers) to honor the hard work of everyone at ITI. This by far cannot explain everything that happens at ITI. The truest way to know is to experience for yourself. ITI will last with you forever!
