    An interactive, entertaining and introspective journey exploring healthy and unhealthy teen dating relationships. Students will participate in games and activities that set the stage for a deeper discussion about teen dating violence. The workshop can be presented as informational or as a “train the trainers,” in which students are taught how to facilitate the activities and take them back to their own schools/communities. Student leave the workshop able to define healthy and unhealthy relationships, identify red flag characteristics of abuse, the cycle of violence, how to safely leave an abusive relationship, and how to help a friend.

    Fact or myth: 1 in 10 females will be sexually abused by the age of 18? That’s a myth. One in three females and one in six males will be sexually abused by the age of 18. Participants in this workshop will learn what "consent" really means; the myths and facts of sexual assault; how acquaintance/date rape differs from stranger rape; information about the procedures for a rape victim to follow, and how to help a friend who has been assaulted.

    On overview on “date rape drugs” as well as personal safety can be included.
