Derek Clark is a Former Foster Child/Youth for 13 years, a victim of Severe Child Abuse, was diagnosed as mentally challenged with Aretic Psychosis.
Derek was to be institutionalized because of severe behavioral problems and erratic behavior. He was high risk with extreme violent tendencies. Thanks to his Foster Parents continual effort to help Derek, they later realized he was wrongly diagnosed as he developed.
As an Inspirational Speaker, Singer/Songwriter and Author of 3 books in his “I Will Never Give Up” book series, he speaks to youth organizations all over this nation about taking responsibility for their life and developing the leader within. Derek uses his inspiring music along with hip hop to connect to the youth. His music (the musical journals of his life) reinforces his empowering messages. Derek details his experience on how he took responsibility and leadership over his own life while in an extremely negative situation. He will show you how he developed self determination as well as set and achieve goals. In order for Derek to triumph in life, he had to learn to dream again and find a purpose. He will show you how to build your self esteem, develop confidence and communicate to seek solutions. You have to believe in order to lead.
