Lloyd Bachrach

BIO

Although physically challenged, Lloyd Bachrach has never let anything keep him from achieving his dreams. Lloyd was born in 1962 with a congenital bone deficiency which left his legs unusually small. Due to the severity of his disability, some doctors suggested there would be little or no hope for a normal life. Lloyd’s parents thought better. They took Lloyd home, nurtured and encouraged him.

PRESENTATIONS

Yes, You Can! is an educational and motivational program created by Lloyd Bachrach who - although physically challenged - has never let anything keep him from achieving his dreams.  His undaunted determination, confidence and positive attitude are truly inspiring.  Lloyd was an accomplished gymnast in high school and college, against able bodied athletes.  He was also a member of the 1996 USA Paralympic sit volleyball team.

Lloyd’s candid and compelling story reaches the hearts and minds of participants.  He has a dynamic stage presence and wonderful sense of humor.  Captivating audiences with live gymnastics and volleyball demonstrations, Lloyd shows that anything in life is possible.  His program teaches students about 5 keys to success:  build high self esteem, focus with a positive attitude, set goals, persevere and maintain physical and mental fitness.  Lloyd also addresses bullying issues, the importance of friendships and helping one another. The program can be tailored to suit audiences of all ages.
